EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful, research-backed therapy designed to help people heal from trauma, distressing experiences, and the emotional patterns that come from them. Whether you're carrying the weight of childhood trauma, a toxic relationship, anxiety, or a painful memory that keeps resurfacing, EMDR helps your brain process those experiences in a way that brings relief—not just insight, but actual change in how you feel.

My approach to EMDR is trauma-informed, meaning we move at your pace, always prioritizing emotional safety and nervous system regulation. This isn’t about pushing you into something you’re not ready for. Before we begin any reprocessing work, we’ll build a strong foundation with stabilization, coping skills, and trust. Many women come to me after trying talk therapy and still feeling like something hasn’t fully healed. EMDR offers a different path—one that helps the brain and body truly release what’s been stuck.

Session Format & Scheduling:

  • Sessions are typically 50–60 minutes, once per week

  • Extended EMDR sessions (75–90 minutes) are available based on need and readiness

  • Available virtually throughout Pennsylvania

What to Expect:

We’ll begin with an in-depth intake and preparation phase where I get to know your story, your goals, and what’s been most difficult. I integrate grounding tools, DBT skills, and mindfulness techniques to support you emotionally throughout the EMDR process. Once we begin reprocessing, we’ll target specific memories or emotional themes using bilateral stimulation (like eye movements or tapping) to help your brain process them in a more adaptive way. Most people find that their emotional reactions to triggers significantly decrease, and they feel more grounded, empowered, and present.

Investment:

  • 50-minute EMDR session: $125

  • 75-minute session (recommended for EMDR): $150

  • Sliding scale may be available; superbills can be provided for out-of-network reimbursement

If you’re curious about EMDR and whether it’s the right fit for what you’re going through, I’d love to talk. Healing is possible—and you don’t have to do it alone.
